sizing for the server

does it really require 2TB? why so much? Can it be less? Was that a misprint? We are a small church.

That is not possible for us at this time, if ever. A server with 2 TB would not be possible in our environment or budget.

    For a small church, 2TB does seem extreme!

    We are running a live system at the moment with 40,000+ Person records, and the system runs comfortably in a total space of ~70GB.
    This includes Windows O/S, SQL Server, IIS, Rock software and live database and some current database backups.

    Although we don't have much additional data right now - such as profile pictures and file attachments - I would think that even with allowances for growth in this area 100GB should be more than sufficient for an operational install.
