External domain not going to external site

I have set up my external site with the URL www.externalsite.org

while my rock rms site is at www.internalsite.org

however, when i go to www.externalsite.org it takes me to the rock rms login page

the solution was to remove the leading "http:" when specifying the domain in the CMS->sites configuration

Did you make the change in CMS Configuation>Sites or General settings>Global Attributes or both?

I have set it up in both. My public site is www.external.org in global attributes

I vaguely remember having a similar issue and restarting Rock solved it. If you are confident everything else is good you can always try. Just click the little info button on the bottom right corner when logged in as admin then choose "restart rock".

The chance of it fixing it is small, but it can't hurt to try.
