    Hi Dillan,

This system email is used to confirm accounts of people who have registered online.  It works with the Account Entry block to do this.  It'll kick in if someone tries to create an account and a duplicate already exists.  They then try to claim that account as their own and need to use the confirmation to complete the process.

So it only kicks in when there is a duplicate? I would want every web user to be emailed this confirmation?

Are the internal and external users different ?

I registered a test web user using my rockrms admin email without any warning or email

Only duplicates activate this feature, and only if the person registering has a matching last name and email address.

I would also like to see a confirmation email sent to all new users, especially if they do not have a person/family profile in Rock already, with the requirement to "confirm" the user in the internal site.

As a benefit to logged in external users, we provide a member directory on their external user page.  We do not want just anyone in cyberland to be able to set themselves up as a user and view the member directory.

Wayne, do you want this e-mail go to your admin or to the user?

I would recommend that your security for the directory page be set to be a little more strict then just "authenticated user" to help choose who does have access. Even if you made a group for "active users" so people who are marked "inactive" or "Pending" can't get everyone's contact info. Just my $.02

I changed the security for the directory page to the same data view as the directory itself, which includes only active members and regular attendees.  Thanks for the clarification.
