P.O. Box addresses break at address validation

It's understandable why, but when we have members whose mailing address is a P.O. Box, the address validation service keeps trying to correct it to a generic address that's definately not going to work. Is there a way to tell it to not validate particular addresses?

I use Smarty Streets and was just able to successfully test (and standardize) a PO Box Address.  I did uncheck the "Map Location" option - if that makes a difference.

I'll give them a shot again- thanks for the information! Even unchecking "map location" Bing still tried to standardize it and breaks it horribly.

Edit: note that Rock needs to be restarted, apparently, after activating a new address service.

Rock team: have you considered/would it be appropriate to skip standardization if "map location" is unchecked?

Which location service are you using?

The Bing location service isn't currently (and I don't expect it will be) able to distinguish between the two. Which country are you wanting to verify addresses for?

Is there a verification service which WILL allow me to put in PO Boxes then? If I turn off address verification, other addresses were breaking- I assume that Rock has some kind of normalizer built-in that doesn't work as well. Or is the request for a checkbox or something to specify that a specific address should not be run through the verifier just something I need to put in the "Black Book"?
