<p>Hey Dave,</p><p>I think I need a little clarification. What version of Rock are you currently using? Is your starting point from a person grid, then the&nbsp; "merge person records" icon, Is that what isn't working for you or are your trying from somewhere else?</p>

<p>Typically if an email or phone is removed from the extra, new, duplicate record first and then you re-try the merge it'll take.<br><br>Another scenarios is if there is a duplicate that somehow also got added to the same family, follow the removal of the email/phone first from above and then bounce that extra, new, duplicate person record out into their own family first. Then re-try the merge.</p><p>Either of these has worked for me.</p>

<p>I'm just searching for someone by entering their name &amp; then 2 or 3 entities of them come up.&nbsp; Then clicking on merge, selecting what info to keep &amp; merging.</p><p>Getting the message below:</p><p>Merge Error

See the inner exception for details.</p><p><br></p><p>I was told by our developer that this was supposed to be fixed in version 13.&nbsp; I guess I thought we were updating every time a new release came out, but I don't know where to look to see what our current version is.</p>

<p>Dave,</p><p>If you go through the Person - &gt; Merge People page and add the records you want to merge to the list you should be good to merge them.</p>
