Security Code on Custom Labels

I am working on making custom check-in labels. Everything is going great except the same security code is assigned to each child. The security code that appears on the labels appears to be the letters I assigned the variable text when I initialized the lable to print. How do I get the random Rock security code to show instead of what I typed. I have this set as variable text and have entered in the merge code key in Rock.

I fixed the problem. I had the variable text set to 3 values and setting it to 5 fixed the problem :)

I was just looking at the same issue for a custom label.  It seems strange that the code wouldn't merge since the default value is 3 characters.

Hi guys. I don't have an answer, just a related question. How do I change the security code default so that it only uses numbers with no letters? This is important for us because our parent alert system in the sanctuary can only print numerals and cannot do letters. Making this change would allow the two systems to work flawlessly together. I'm not much a code-guy so please be as specific as you can. Thanks!

    Hi Jeremy,
(Great first name, by the way)

Under Rock > Admin > Check In > Check In Configuration, you can select a check in configuration area.  Select Edit to edit the configuration area.  There you will see an area to set the Security Code Length.  Try changing options there an see if that does the trick.

    I hope that helps!

P.S. feel free to start new question threads. ;-)
