Is there a reason why Husband/Wife/Spouse is not defined in the Known Relationships?

I would like to know why Husband/Wife or Spouse/Spouse relationship was not predefined in the Known Relationships?

e.g. Grandparent/Grandchild is defined, as also Previous Spouse.

There must be a good reason.

I can't say for sure, but I would surmise it is because if they are current Husband/Wife/Spouse, then they should be in the same family and thus a relationship is not needed.

While an argument could be made for the need of "spouse" (or maybe "Separated Spouse") for the rare cases where they are still married but living at different addresses; that is likely either a short window (they are pending a divorce or just spending a few months apart to work out some problems) that we are more than likely not going to hear about it anyway.
