Online Contribution Batch

Is there a way to control the way the online batches are created and frequency? Currently a batch is created for online contributions and I would like them to go into a pre-created batch based on date.

I don't believe so, not without making changes to core DLLs anyway. The basic premise for the reason it does it the way it does it now is to keep online batches separate from "physical" batches (i.e. cash and checks) as they get deposited separately. Also, I believe, it creates different batches for different CC types (i.e. AMEX vs MasterCard/Visa) as they tend to clear at different times; the idea there being that you don't have a single batch in Rock spanning two different deposits into your bank account.
