    Hi Keith,

    >>How and when is the intranet funtion going to get up and running?

I'm not sure I understand the question completely, but the "Rock Admin Hero Guide" has some wisdom on the subject of Intranets: https://www.rockrms.com/Rock/BookContent/9/9#intranet

    >>If it is how do you upload documents?

Perchance have you looked at the "Designing and Building Websites Using Rock" document? https://www.rockrms.com/Rock/BookContent/14/14#addingcontenttorock

    I hope that helps,

      Hi Jeremy,
Yes I did look at the "Rock Admin Hero Guide". I am not trying to be flippant, but you might be looking at a different version. All I see in the Intranet section is it telling what the Intranet section is and what it is used for. I see no where, where it says how to add docs to that page.
Do we have to add a block to house the links to the documents? Because I just assumed that all of the functionality was already built-in. That Intranet section also says that "We've added a couple of items during the install", however, we have NO items. I wonder if our site is messed up somehow.

      Hi Jeremy,
I believe that we have it figured out. The Intranet pages are just blank pages, we need to add the document title and link it to a document. Is this correct?
If so, I guess we were way off base with our expectations :) We assumed that there would be a button that would allow you to upload a document to a certain area and then it would just build the page as you added docs.

    Hi Keith,

I actually just added a new sub-page to the Staff Docs and two new blocks and have a handy new intranet file section that might be like you need.  Here's what I did:

    1. Under General Settings > File Types I added a new File Type named: Intranet Doc
      • 01.png
    2. Add a new page under Shared Documents named "File Details".
      • 02.png
    3. On the File Details page, add the Binary File Detail block.
      • 03.png
    4. On the Shared Documents page add the Binary File List block.
      • 04.png
    5. Refresh the page and modify the Binary File List block settings to use the Intranet Doc type and set the Detail Page setting to the new "File Details" page created earlier.
      • 05.png

That will now give you a file list that can be uploaded, managed, and viewed in the site.

Here is my shot of my Shared Documents page now:

And here are the details of the Dell Data Sheet:

To view the document, simply click the icon (above the Upload button) and it will download.  Since I have full edit rights on the module, i can change any of those fields.  When I login as a user who doesn't have full edit rights, here's what they see:
