Group Deletion Recovery and Rights to Delete

Recently, we have a case where a ministry group under Group Viewer was accidentally deleted, which was a big loss to a ministry's data.


1. Is it possible to recover a deleted group? Or at leave write a report or data view that can find in a Peron's history that they were once part of the deleted group so we can remake this group?


2. Is it possible to allow ministry staff to create and edit groups, but take away rights to delete groups? 


3. In Admin Tools / Security / Audit Information, no matter how I play with the filters, it didn't seem to generate any information. I'm wondering if there is a setting somewhere I need to change to enable audit logs?

    This is gonna be a rough answer because I'm a bit hazy on the details.

    You can enable Auditing in General Settings -> Global Attributes.

    The best way to recover a group would likely require SQL, but I'm not the best person to ask. I took the Rock Master Class and I vaguely remember a way for when something is edited you could force Rock to delay the action until it was approved by someone else. I believe this is based on the auditing features, but I have not used them before.
