Tips for Rapid Attendance Entry?

Hi, we're still in the implementation phase with Rock RMS and we've hit a roadblock on Rapid Attendance Entry. What we want to do is have someone log in, choose RAE, select a group, and check people in. The problem is we can never see any groups in the RAE drop down. The relevant section of the manual says


"You begin the Rapid Attendance Entry process by selecting the group you want to record attendance for. The group's settings and attributes will determine which options will be available on the screen."


but doesn't direct us to which settings and attributes make the group visible. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Hi Robert, take a look at the block settings for that block.  There is a required "Parent Group" setting which you would pre-configure by pointing it to the correct group (or root group) for which someone will be taking attendance.

    Thanks Nick, that helped and I can now do rapid attendance as Super Admin. If I try to use another user that has a custom role, I get an error "Sorry, you're not authorized to search" when using the Attendee drop down search box. Any idea where the security is for that search functionality?
