Social Sharing Meta Tags

For sharing on FB/Twitter... It doesn't seem like the "AddMetaTagToHead" is working on the calendar items. And when I added a similar function to my sermon podcasts, the same result. When I inspect the code, no Meta tags and when I use FBs sharing debugger it just pulls my basic org info. 

Are others having the same experience? Has anyone found a good way to use lava to add item specific info into Social Media Meta Tags.
