Statement Generator Output

I am using the Statement Generator to print our giving statements. I am selecting the contributors from a dataview. The statements are printing fine, but they are not alphabetized. We can do it the old-fashioned way, but with over 800 statements, if I can print them out that way, that would be amazing. We are using the Rock Default template.

Thank you!

I believe they're designed to come out sorted by zip code. I don't think there is an option to change that

I should have added- a good reason for sorting by zip code is that they frequently have to be sorted that way when you drop them off at the post office. With the default format being designed to work with window envelopes so you don't have to apply an address to the outside of the envelope itself, I'm curious what the need for alphabetical statements is.

Wonder if you can change the lava on the template to sort by alphabetical order?

It doesn't look like the template Lava has the loop logic that gets all of the groups (family units); rather I believe that the loop logic that would need to be sorted lives in the executable itself, and for every family unit the executable finds, it simply applies the Lava that we can set. So it would require a re-writing or update of the executable itself to enable such an option or change that behavior.

We are making them available for members at our church on Sunday. We have just started our Rock implementation, and members do not have access to the website. We are providing it as a convenience. Thats the reason for the alphabetization. We had CCB before and could print them by zip or alphabetized, so we were assuming it was standard. I understand the zip code thing, though!
