Custom Person Attributes fields during Account Registration

I'm having a hard time finding how to ask / display custom Person Attributes fields during the Account Registration process. Let's say I want to allow a new user to enter text into a field whem they register, asking "What skills do you have that you can share with the community?" and for them to be able to type in text. Then have those custom Person Attributes show up on the Extended Attributes of a Profile Page, or anywhere else on a Profile Page.

    I'm pretty sure this can't be done with the current account registration block. Rock does have the ability to prompt for custom attributes (via additional Attribute Categories) using the internal Add Family block, but I don't believe a similar ability exists for the account registration block... though that would be an intriguing addition. You might make the request for such a feature here: http://www.rockrms.com/Rock/Ideas  Also, the forthcoming Event Registration capability in Rock 4.0 will presumably let you prompt for additional attributes/info during those registrations, which might meet some or many of your needs.

      I also forgot to add that you should currently be able to create a workflow that prompts for any information you desire and "stuff" that info into your custom person attributes. Such a workflow would (should) be behind authentication, so users would log into their accounts and then run the workflow. Not exactly what you're asking for, but perhaps workable.
