Homepage header

How do you change a homepage header?   I've tried everything and I get a blank header at the top of the homepage.

Usually the header is global for the website, what block are you trying to modify for your header?

Not sure of your question but trying to link a vimeo video file and using the link in the video url in Rock on the homepage Properties page.   That's where the homepage header was listed before I tried to upload the new one.  It uploads but once I copy the URL it shows a blank grey header on our homepage.

Is there a link to the page that we could see? Do you know if it is programed to use a video URL and not a Vimeo link to the video? Or something else?

We've had a video running as our header for two years and it's been working fine.

Here's the website to the page.  www.centralnc.org When opened, you will see a big grey bar at the top.  It's usually playing a video.   Yesterday we were having issues with being able to get our website controller involved because of an access issue, possibly with the update.   Hopefully he will be able to take a look today but, if anyone has an answer, we're all ears, or in this case, we're all eyes.

Thank you so much for responding.

Did you use a Vimeo URL previously? I don't think that will work with a <video> element. You have to get the mp4 link from Vimeo to do that. Do you know how to do that? It is available on certain subscription plans.

Here is a help doc: https://help.vimeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/12426150952593-How-to-access-my-video-s-direct-links

You need the HD1080p link. I stuck one in there using the inspector and it worked for me.

    Hope this helps.

I think I see that someone just fixed it.

I just went in and changed a link setting and it worked.   Now the problem is that it was created at the wrong size.  I will leave it there until Monday and our video graphics person can fix it.  I don't know the size that it's supposed to be.   BTW, in the past we did use a Vimeo URL.   I'm going to print out your directions.  I think that these will help when I change it after it's sized.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Glad you got it figured out. I am sure if the video is at 16:9 ratio, it would be fine. Probably 1920x1080.

Yes that's the size it is.  It just has a bunch of white around it that shouldn't be there.
