Event Registration Page stalls on loading Payment Page.

We have been getting a lot of people from different browser types and mobile/desktop saying that some of our event registrations will stall out with the little thinking bubble when they click to get to the last payment page. 

It then throws this error. 

We get a few of these a day. 

Any ideas?

    Is it possible some people are starting the registration form and sitting there (for like an hour) without proceeding, THEN coming back and trying to click next? The "invalid view state" exception looks to me like that kind of thing. Or have you seen this happening in real time?
