Group Map broken - looking for Google API key

Hello,

Trying out RockRMS on external hosting.  I setup my first small group and gave it a meeting address.  When viewing the group, the map image is broken, and when I try to view the image in a new tab, it claims it's looking for a Google API key.

When I click on the interactive map, it works fine with the Google Map.  The address is geocoding ok via Bing.

Again - this is only the first address I've put in the system besides the church address.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jason,

Google made some changes recently that change how the non-interactive maps (such as when viewing the group details page) that is affecting some users. An issue has been created for this in Rock and you can track the status of it here: https://github.com/SparkDevNetwork/Rock/issues/1991

That being said, if you have not done so yet you do need to setup a Google API Key for maps to work correctly elsewhere in the system. In your post-install checklist on the Rock dashboard after you login there should be a step about setting up the Google API Key and a bit of documentation for setting it up. This needs to be done for mapping to work elsewhere in the system.
