Check In Manager has no counts despite children being checked in

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has encountered this issue: We are testing the check in process now on Rock 4 and Rock 5 and found that for both our instances, the Check In Manager does not count the children we check in. Check In Manager shows 0 for every classroom even though Rock can see that 2 children are checked in (we searched the parents name to access the child and can see their children as 'CURRENT').

Also, we noted that Device Manager was correct in its count until one time when we checked in the same child twice, the count increased on the device—which is a mistake—and the backend wasn't affected (which is a good thing!) . We are wondering if the device is just a +1 counter with no reference to the backend or is it supposed to be in communication with the backend?

Are we doing something wrong? Thank you again for any responses—really excited to roll Rock out to our church, but wanted to make sure the most essential parts of our operation are in place before we jump in.

    A couple of thoughts:

    1. Are you selecting the correct campus in the drop-down in the upper-right of /checkinmanager? Even if you only have one site you need to select it.

    2. If that's not your issue, double-check that the Check-in Manager block on that page has the check-in type set to "Weekly Service Check-in Area" (or whatever check-in type you're using for your kids check-in).

    As for the incorrect counts.. are you referring to the admin screen on the kiosk you get to via a PIN? We don't pay much attention to that here so I haven't noticed it counting already-checked-in-kids twice, but it sounds like a bug. I'll try to dupe here.

    Thanks Jim, that didn't seem to help since I verified that those settings looked correct. I will try to redo our check-in groups again and report back. Thanks!

      Ok, I was 90% sure you just weren't selecting a campus in the upper-right drop down as that bites me almost every time I use it. I will also mention something that isn't obvious, just in case it is your issue... the checkinmanager pages do not update at all. You have to manually refresh them to see the numbers change... so if you were on that page and never refreshed it, you would think no one has checked in.

    We have this same issue, and I am selecting the correct campus, and the block is set to "Weekly Service Checkin Area" (the one we are using for checkin.

    I'm getting the same issue. I have 0 counts for check-ins in the check-in manager.

    I work with Darrin (two posts up) and we resolved our problem. Our server time was set 7 hours from local time, and apparently checkin manager uses server time. The clue was that the time on the graph was wrong — the time at the right side should match local time.
